What is the job?
The Billing Specialist is responsible for various accounting tasks including invoicing clients, processing sales orders, reconciling invoices in accounting software, and communicating with clients regarding invoicing inquiries. Additionally, this role will play a crucial role in month-end and year-end closures, as well as processing tickets to make changes to customer agreements.
Responsibilities:
- Generate and issue invoices to clients accurately and in a timely manner.
- Process sales orders efficiently, maintaining meticulous documentation.
- Reconcile all invoices in accounting software to verify accuracy and consistency.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, addressing any invoicing questions or concerns with professionalism and clarity.
- Collaborate with team members to facilitate month-end and year-end closures, ensuring seamless financial reporting.
- Manage ticketing system to facilitate changes to customer agreements as needed.
- Perform additional duties and tasks as assigned by management, contributing to the overall success of the finance department.
Qualifications:
- At least two (2) to four (4) years of experience in accounting or finance roles, including handling contracts and working with US clients.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks for various accounting tasks, including invoicing, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Proven expertise in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to use advanced functions such as VLOOKUP and Pivot tables to analyze and manipulate financial data accurately.
- Ability to identify issues, analyze root causes, and implement effective solutions in a timely manner to ensure accuracy and efficiency in accounting processes.
- Meticulous approach to tasks with a focus on accuracy and precision in financial documentation and analysis.
- Capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining high standards of quality and integrity.
- Clear and coherent in both verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues, addressing inquiries and concerns.
- Aptitude for interpreting financial data, identifying trends, and drawing meaningful insights to support decision-making and improve operational efficiency.
