About the Role
As a Procurement Specialist (IMRO-buyer), you will help protect operational continuity across a specialized aviation supply chain by managing purchasing requirements, supplier relationships, compliance standards, and value-for-money outcomes.This is a long-term global career with Emapta for a procurement professional ready to work with a high-caliber aerospace business while gaining premium international exposure from home.
Qualifications- 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience
- High level of Supplier Relationship Management experience with a focus on delivering value
- Conscientious, confident, and computer literate
- Well-organized and articulate
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good working knowledge of industry databases and appropriate software packages used across IMRO
- Strong data analysis skills, with the ability to analyze supplier data, determine integrity and trends, and generate insights for stakeholders
- Technical proficiency in using ERP, WMS, and CRM platforms
- Ability to develop tools that support automation and efficiency
- Strategic thinking skills, with the ability to develop long-term plans based on market trends, industry insights, business goals, and supplier goals
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly, define scope, lead training, and support growth
- Leadership capability, with the ability to lead by example, support buying excellence, and champion change
- Campaign management skills, with the ability to drive commercial initiatives from start to end

- Purchase a wide range of aircraft parts and materials in line with operational procedures
- Place and fulfill purchase orders and deliver parts in line with operational requirements
- Resolve and investigate supply chain errors through root cause analysis
- Maintain the highest level of service for internal and external suppliers
- Purchase parts and materials at the most competitive price
- Assist in developing and implementing policies and procedures for materials purchasing
- Review the Purchasing function and methodology, then identify and recommend operational improvements for approval
- Identify new sources, discount structures, and volume rebates
- Maintain price lists
- Monitor shipments arriving from outside the UK
- Review monthly MSS data reports and ensure a system is in place to address HMRC Customs and Excise queries
- Ensure incorrect information is rectified within 2 months as directed by HMRC Customs and Excise
- Create quarterly Inward Processing Reports for HMRC Customs and Excise, including additional information when required
- Ensure the correct incoming information and export licenses are used before controlled military exports are shipped
- Provide annual reports related to controlled exports
- Ensure stock and inventory activities are completed and yearly stock take reports meet business requirements
- Control Return to Parts material to demand
- Manage donor units and service exchanges through the WIP cycle
- Control consignment stock at IMRO and consignee premises
- Attend and promote IMRO at key events, trade shows, and quarterly business reviews with key suppliers
- Support adherence to the Supplier Relationship Management process
- Work with suppliers and internal departments to provide continuity, feedback, and updates on open repairs
- Administer business workflow through the IMRO WMS system through completion
- Ensure supplier-driven targets are achieved, including MR-PR 5-day and PR-PO 3-day SLA targets
- Administer and source from third-party marketplaces, including ILS and Parts145, for approval
- Manage supplier complaints effectively
- Troubleshoot supplier concerns and manage supplier expectations
- Provide feedback to suppliers on non-compliant orders
- Relay technical information between stakeholders
- Build and nurture supplier relationships
- Contact top-ten suppliers monthly as a minimum to drive supplier satisfaction and growth through SRM
- Gather market intelligence from suppliers on pricing, performance, and possible business improvement opportunities
- Share supplier intelligence with the commercial team regarding new opportunities and service requirements
- Perform other duties within your capabilities as directed by the company and its leadership
- Actively support IMRO Continual Improvement goals
- Log improvement opportunities through the QMS
- Identify efficiency and system improvements
- Monitor team compliance
- Promote and build training tools that support internal development
- Work with the Business Development Manager and support new supplier enquiries
