• Ensure that ISO audit comply with applicable standards, regulations, and guidance to the necessary standards and the resulting reports are fair, impartial and useful.
• Evaluate production processes for compliance with quality requirements
• Assist in development of audit plans, audit schedule
• Participate in quality audits (and lead a team of quality auditors when needed)
• Work in collaboration with operations team to drive consistency of the assessment scheduling approach to facilitate accuracy in audit execution and reporting
• Performs internal audit if necessary
• Identify processes, situations, etc., where organization is meeting requirements, as well as identify opportunities for improvement.
• Issue audit reports on a timely basis
• Assists with follow-up audits, as required
• May be required to develop internal auditing/testing parameters

Qualifications/Requirements

Management System Auditor

• Professional education (academic or technical): Completed higher education with a university or trade school degree, master craftsman’s diploma or equivalent.
• Professional experience: At least five (5) years of professional experience, including management, personnel or project responsibility, two of them relating to the respective management system (QMS, EMS, OHS, EnMS). Candidates will be approved for specific standards and business sectors (EA scope) according to the qualification requirements. Working experience as a consultant can only be accepted, if the consultancy services are related to key/operative processes of a business sector (see terms and definition).
• Accredited lead auditor courses of an accredited personnel certification body or alternatively, after previous approval by program manager, successful equal auditor training according to ISO 19011 and/or ISO/IEC 17021-1 (minimum 32 hours with a test or 40 hours for the first standard, 24 hours for further standards) will be accepted. Extended training such as EOQ auditor certification (exceeding 100 training hours) are preferred.
• Four complete audits with at least 20 days audit experience (11 of which on site) under the supervision and guidance of a lead auditor during the last 5 years. First and second party audits may be considered but at least one complete third party audit, evaluated by an experienced lead auditor, is required.
• For approval for a further standard (e.g. already qualified for QMS and request EMS), only 15 days audit experience (8 of which on site) are required. The audit experience may be acquired during the course of the nomination process. First and second party audits may be also considered.

For IATF 16949 auditors (additional requirements):

• Be qualified as ISO 9001 Lead Auditor;
• Have conducted at least six ISO 9001 third party audits with at least three as audit team leader in manufacturing industries (automotive manufacturing first or second party system auditing experience may be considered).
• Be knowledgeable in automotive core tools;
• Have four years full time appropriate practical experience (including two years dedicated to quality assurance activities) within the past 15 years in an automotive manufacturing organization [Experience in industries with similar scopes of applicability (e.g. Aerospace, Telecommunications, Rail, Industrial Off-Road equipment, etc.) in chemical, electrical or metallic commodities may be considered].
• shall observe a minimum of one complete IATF 16949 third-party audit (excluding special audits) with a minimum of two days. It is necessary to provide evidence of on-site attendance in observation audit, such as CARA Audit Report / Audit Plan, List of Participants, Evidence of travel.
