Modernization Sales Specialist

Job Summary

The Modernization Sales Specialist is responsible for driving revenue growth through the identification, development, and conversion of elevator and escalator modernization opportunities. This role requires a consultative and relationship-driven sales approach, working closely with building owners, property managers, consultants, and internal teams to deliver customized modernization solutions that improve safety, operational efficiency, compliance, and asset performance.

The ideal candidate is proactive, technically inclined, customer-focused, and highly skilled in managing long-term client relationships and complex sales cycles.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development
  • Proactively identify and generate modernization opportunities from existing clients and prospective accounts.
  • Conduct site inspections, technical assessments, and customer consultations to evaluate modernization requirements.
  • Develop tailored modernization proposals and present value-driven solutions aligned with client operational and safety objectives.
  • Build and manage a healthy sales pipeline while consistently achieving sales and revenue targets.
  • Negotiate commercial terms, contracts, and project agreements in accordance with company policies and profitability goals.
  • Demonstrate strong market mapping and business development capabilities to expand market reach and customer acquisition.
Customer Relationship Management
  • Establish and maintain strong professional relationships with building owners, property managers, consultants, contractors, and key decision-makers.
  • Act as a trusted advisor by educating clients on modernization benefits, lifecycle improvements, compliance standards, and return on investment.
  • Deliver exceptional customer experience by ensuring responsiveness, professionalism, and solution-oriented engagement throughout the sales cycle.
  • Manage client expectations effectively while maintaining long-term partnerships and repeat business opportunities.
Collaboration & Project Coordination
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, operations, project management, and technical support teams to ensure accurate project scoping and successful execution.
  • Coordinate internally for pricing validation, scheduling, resource planning, and proposal development.
  • Support smooth project handovers from sales to operations while ensuring alignment on customer expectations and project deliverables.
  • Maintain strong cross-functional communication to address project concerns, timelines, and operational requirements.
Market Intelligence & Strategic Contribution
  • Stay updated on industry trends, modernization technologies, safety regulations, and competitor activities within the elevator and escalator industry.
  • Analyze market conditions and customer feedback to identify emerging business opportunities and improvement areas.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to management, marketing, and product teams to strengthen modernization strategies and market positioning.
  • Participate in industry events, networking activities, and client engagements to enhance brand presence and business opportunities.
