Autonomous Maintenance Lead

Role Overview

He/she promotes operational excellence through an effective and efficient operation, continuous improvement of AM processes and enhancement of people’s zero loss mindset.

1. Autonomous maintenance and EXiM:

• Establishes and implements AM/5S plan.
• Monitors and ensures effective execution of 5S, defect tagging, CIL, centerlining and visual management, skills development, and preventive maintenance improvement activities.
• Ensures that visual controls (pipe directional arrows, min-max levels, centerlining, color coded change parts, marking of gauges,etc.) are identified and in placed.
• Conducts health checks and assessments of the aforementioned activities to validate effectiveness of the programs.
• Tracks compliance of the team members to the AM and EXIM activities.
• Establishes and documents AM and 5S Standards and improvements.

1. Continuous Improvement

• Performs regular breakdowns, short stops and line loss analysis for the area of scope as input for the strategic plans.
• Handles Loss Improvement Cycle capability of the line
• Leads LUPIT and other continuous improvement projects.
• Leads identification of CAP for missed Autonomous Maintenance KPIs and ensures closure of CAP items of the line.
• Conducts regular line performance reviews to identify action steps to ensure consistently good Autonomous Maintenance KPIs results.
• Manages AM/EXiM related projects that will be assigned to the team.
• Facilitate Breakdown Analysis Activity. 2 liner Plant
• Conducts Line Capability Study and create a Loss Tree to initiate improvement projects.

1. Conduct Historical Analysis

• Conduct maintenance analytics towards further enhancement of CILT (Clean, Inspect, Lubricate, Tighten) Standards.
• Production data analyzed and trends identified that have a maintenance implication
• Recommends improvement in CILT maintenance mixes.

1. Conduct due Diligence on Autonomous Maintenance Processes

• Regularly conducts audits for 5S and AM at team level
• Ensure that all AM processes align to agreed maintenance systems.
• Ensure that all CILT standard are technically correct, reviewed and approved.
• Influences management’s participation in AM and 5S Audits and activities (initial cleaning). 5. Implement Process Improvements
• Conducts benchmarking activities in AM/5S, applies these best practices and publishes progress and improvement in KPIs: a. Identification and/or reduction of inspection time, cleaning time, SOCs, HTRs, breakdowns and work practices. b. Achieves a sustainable productivity and reduction (50%) in EPL when reaching AM Step 3

1. People Administration and Development

• Provides regular coaching and mentoring to assigned associates to ensure that expectations from their role are constantly met. a. Safety, operating skill, engineering, defect identification, problem solving skill, 5S , equipment malfunctions, CILT standards, b. Raw materials and secondary packaging properties and its influence on machine performances.
• Provides an input in the development of individual training plan, identifies training gaps and executes training plans related to AM and 5S.
• Provides an input by providing timely feedback and recognition to personnel performance.
• Provides an input on the succession planning for the associates.

1. Project Management

• Planning, organizing, securing and managing resources to achieve specific goals within the defined timeframe.

• Preferably a graduate of any of the following Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering: (Chemical/Mechanical/Electrical/Industrial Engineering)
• Preferably with minimum of 1 year experience in Engineering and Production (FMCG – Fast Moving Consumer Goods)

• High proficiency in digital and system tools like Data Management and Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
• Highly analytical – proficient in data analytics, forecast and data trends analysis
• High proficiency in root cause analysis and problem-solving skills
• High proficiency in leadership and collaboration skills for both internal and external stakeholders.
• High proficiency in handling vendors and supplier (internal and external).
• Good financial analytics and costing.
• High proficiency in handling improvement projects.
• Intermediate to Advance Proficiency in MS Applications especially in Excel .
• Good at coaching and mentoring a multi-disciplinary teams.
• Excellent in communication and training skills.
• Attention to details.

• Highly analytical – proficient in data analytics, forecast, and data trends analysis
• High proficiency in digital and system tools like Data Management and Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
• High proficiency in leadership and collaboration skills for both internal and external stakeholders
• Good at coaching and mentoring a multi disciplinary teams
• Proficient in both oral and written communication
