What is the job?

The Senior Accountant will support various aspects of the accounting department and the company’s day-to-day financial operations.

Responsibilities:

• Support month-end close by preparing timely and accurate journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Maintain and record key financial areas including cash, accruals, leases, prepaid expenses, and intangible assets.
• Conduct expense analysis and provide support for internal and external audits, including year-end processes.
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley requirements, and company accounting policies.
• Assist in documenting and improving accounting procedures and participating in system enhancements (e.g., Sage Intacct).
• Address financial inquiries and contribute to special projects and ad-hoc analyses as needed.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Minimum of two (2) years of progressive experience in US accounting.
• Strong proficiency in Sage Intacct and advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, V-lookups).
• Solid knowledge of US accounting standards and general accounting software/systems.
• Proven experience collaborating with external auditors and supporting audit processes.
• Effective communicator with the ability to work cross-functionally and across subsidiaries.
• Demonstrated ability to thrive independently and in team settings in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
• High attention to detail with a proactive approach to learning and taking on new responsibilities.
