Data Analyst – Independent Contractor (Onsite)

Job Overview

We are seeking a driven and detail-focused Data Analyst to join our team as an independent contractor. This position requires strong analytical skills and technical proficiency to convert complex data into valuable business insights.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience handling large datasets, developing advanced spreadsheet models, building dashboards, and presenting insights to both technical and non-technical audiences. You should be comfortable transforming raw data into meaningful information that supports strategic and operational decisions.

• Gather, clean, validate, and consolidate data from various sources
• Perform data analysis using SQL, Python, and advanced Excel functions
• Design, develop, and maintain dashboards and reports using Excel, Power BI, and SharePoint
• Create data models and conduct statistical analyses to uncover trends and patterns
• Convert complex findings into clear, actionable insights and recommendations
• Work closely with cross-functional teams such as Operations, Marketing, and Sales
• Maintain data accuracy, consistency, and proper documentation standards
• Prepare reports and presentations to effectively communicate results
• Support business decisions through data analysis and performance monitoring
• Participate in pilot programs and new data-related initiatives

• Strong analytical and systems-thinking abilities, with an understanding of data relationships and dependencies
• Good grasp of statistical principles (e.g., correlation, causation, ratios)
• Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in data analytics or a similar role
• Proficiency in:
• Advanced Excel (formulas, pivot tables, macros, VBA)
• Power BI and SharePoint for reporting and dashboards
• SQL and Python (Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib)
• Google Workspace and/or Microsoft Office 365
• Strong understanding of data modeling, transformation, and database concepts
• Experience working with large and complex datasets
• Excellent communication and presentation skills

• Experience in fast-paced, data-driven, or high-growth environments
• Exposure to simulation modeling, algorithm development, or advanced analytics
• Experience working with structured market or industry datasets
