The Opportunity:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical QA Engineer to ensure the quality and reliability of our software products. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, designing, executing and documenting software tests while collaborating with development teams to identify and resolve defects.Experience in testing web and mobile applications is an advantage.
Key Responsibilities
Test Planning and Preparation- Analyze, review and assess business requirements, user stories, specifications and system designs for testability
- Create and maintain test cases, test scenarios and test specifications based on project requirements
- Set up and maintain test environments
- Prepare, acquire, create and manage test data required for testing activities
- Execute manual and automated tests across various testing levels, including functional, integration, system and regression testing
- Record and document test results accurately
- Identify, document, track and verify software defects using bug-tracking tools
- Validate fixes and perform regression testing to ensure issue resolution
- Evaluate test outcomes and provide recommendations for quality improvements
- Assist in test automation initiatives where applicable
- Support configuration management activities related to testing
- Contribute to test progress monitoring, reporting and quality metrics tracking
- Participate in test closure activities, including documentation and lessons learned
- Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts and project stakeholders to ensure product quality
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or any related IT field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Good communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of or experience with the following is an advantage:
- ISTQB Foundation Level concepts and testing methodologies
- Software testing tools
- Bug tracking and defect management tools
- Configuration management tools
- Test automation tools and frameworks
- Mobile and/or web application testing
