Human Resource Officer

The Human Resource Officer will handle the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensuring employees follow all policies and procedures
- Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
- Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
- Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- Prepare and/or Revise employee handbooks and create memos about current issues within the company. Issues might include something simple like making sure to clean common spaces to more serious topics like identifying and reporting workplace harassment.
- Overseeing exit interviews and procedures.
- May assist in the administrative functions of the organization, from time to time.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:
- A bachelor’s degree in human resources, or in any other business-related field.
- 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in a human resources unit.
- Any other form of human resources certification is also a plus.
All personnel may be required to perform duties outside of their normal responsibilities from time to time, as needed.
