We are looking for a Sr. Purchasing Specialist is responsible for overseeing the company’s purchasing operations. This includes developing procurement strategies, negotiating with suppliers, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring that procurement processes adhere to company policies and industry standards.The role is pivotal in optimizing costs, improving supply chain efficiency, and supporting overall business objectives.
What You’ll Do:
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Develop and implement sourcing strategies: Conduct market research, identify potential suppliers, and develop comprehensive sourcing strategies aligned with company goals and objectives.
- Negotiate contracts: Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable pricing, terms, and conditions for the organization.
- Manage supplier relationships: Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality goods and services.
- Conduct supplier performance evaluations: Regularly assess supplier performance against agreed-upon metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.
- Analyze market trends: Monitor industry trends, analyze market dynamics, and identify potential supply chain disruptions to ensure proactive risk management.
- Develop sourcing processes: Implement and improve sourcing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Stay informed about industry best practices: Continuously research and stay up-to-date on industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements in sourcing and procurement.
- Support other procurement activities: Assist with supplier onboarding, contract administration, and resolving supplier-related issues.
- Mentor and develop team members: Provide guidance and support to junior sourcing professionals, fostering their professional development.

Qualification Standards:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in strategic sourcing or procurement.
- Proven track record of successfully negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in using sourcing software and tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
