Java Developer Lead Client: IT Consulting Company Job Type: Direct-hire, Full-time Employment Work Setup: Hybrid – 2x/week onsite (Makati or BGC, Taguig) Shift: Flexible Mid-Shift (8 hours)

Must be available between 4 PM–7 PM
Example: 3 PM–12 MN is acceptable as long as core hours are covered
Must remain open to other shifts as needed

Summary We are seeking a Java Developer Lead to join our client’s cross-functional team. This role involves designing, developing, and supporting advanced web applications. The ideal candidate is technically hands-on, with strong skills in design, coding, and testing, and will collaborate closely with Tech Leads, onshore partners, and infrastructure teams.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver software solutions aligned

with project goals

Design and develop code, concepts, and layouts for web applications
Ensure end-to-end product quality and provide technical support to the team
Participate in Agile ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, reviews,

retrospectives)

Promote a culture of collaboration, accountability, and quality
Assist in resolving technical issues and support deployment activities
Work closely with Tech Leads and other stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery

Mandatory Skills Leadership & Design

Experience in designing, leading, and architecting solutions

Backend Essentials

Java 17 (or Java 8)
RESTful APIs
Spring Boot & Spring Framework
Cloud-native applications (e.g., microservices)
JUnit / Integration Testing
Security implementation
Persistence (RDBMS or NoSQL)

Common Tools & Practices

CI/CD tools
Test automation
Git / Version control
