This is a completely WFH opportunity, where you’ll come in and help us lead and set the direction of our fast-growing BD and Sales team. We’ll need someone who can work ET hours.

Role Overview:
As a Head of Business Development , you’ll spearhead Pearl’s revenue engine. You’ll lead and grow our sales function from a high-potential core team to a world-class revenue organization. You will architect scalable sales systems, coach and develop talent, take charge of critical deals, and work cross-functionally to align GTM efforts with marketing and success.This is a high-ownership, high-impact role built for someone who has scaled from 0 to 1 and 1 to 100—and is ready to do it again.
Your Impact
You will drive Pearl to $10M+ ARR by building winning sales strategies and scaling a team that closes consistently. Your leadership will reduce sales cycle times, increase conversion rates, and establish repeatable processes that power our next phase of growth.You’ll directly influence Pearl’s trajectory and reputation as a go-to partner for top-tier startups.
Purpose of Your Role
We need a Director of Business Development who can lead a team of three incredible sales reps into a full fledged team with multiple sales monsters. You will take ownership of sales training, new business development strategies, sales processes improvements, and team sprints.You will build, train, and manage a high-performance business development team to ensure operational excellence. Your leadership and strategic vision will enable successful revenue generation and long-term client relationships. Collaboration with marketing and success teams will be crucial to aligning initiatives and achieving sales targets.
Metrics You Are Accountable For- $10M ARR by the end of the year by creating new business development strategies
- Increase lead-to-sale conversion rate to above 30%.
- Build top of funnel outbound sales strategies
- Reduce Sales Cycle Length
Key Responsibilities
Areas of Responsibility- Build, train, and manage a high-performance business development team to ensure operational excellence.
- Launch new business development and sales initiatives adding new top of funnel
- Scale the team of SDRs.
- Identify inefficiencies and refine sales playbooks, SOPs, workflows, and strategies.
- Regularly analyze sales data to extract measurable outcomes on slaes process and new iniatives.
- Track CRM management, pipeline tracking, and data-driven optimization of sales processes.
- Work cross-functionally with marketing and success teams to create a seamless sales-generation engine.
- Conducting 1:1s with each team member to build, train, and manage their execution with precision and agility.
- Ensure smooth client onboarding and long-term relationship management.
Requirements
Key Experiences We’re Looking For- You’ve grown a company from 1-100 and scaled revenue with multiple million
- You’ve been in a company from 0-1
- You have a proven track record closing B2B enterprise deals
- You’ve worked as a key-decision maker in a US company
- You are data driven and can concisely tell stories
- Strong command of CRM (e.g., HubSpot or similar) and sales analytics
- Exceptional communicator and coach, both written and verbal
- Systems thinker with ability to scale repeatable processes
- Adept at outbound strategy, pipeline management, and deal closing
- Potential for profit share based on performance
