Accounting Supervisor (Financial Reporting & Compliance)

About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Supervisor to oversee financial reporting, compliance, and accounting operations. The role ensures that all transactions are processed in accordance with Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS) and internal corporate guidelines.

You will supervise key accounting functions, ensure accurate financial data, support audits, and help maintain strong internal controls and documentation compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure all transactions (AP, FA, CM, and financial reporting) comply with PFRS
• Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, and ad hoc reports
• Maintain and safeguard financial records, contracts, books of accounts, and audited FS
• Ensure compliance with corporate reporting guidelines and internal policies

• Supervise accounting section operations and act as officer-in-charge in the absence of superiors
• Support development, review, and updating of section procedures and work instructions
• Recommend process improvements within and beyond scope of responsibility

• Prepare monthly currency analysis reports
• Handle currency conversion for funding requirements
• Manage bank accounts and related administrative functions
• Act as USD petty cash custodian
• Prepare monthly cash inflow and outflow reports

• Review AP RR vouchers and freight (import/export) vouchers
• Oversee accounts payable processing and reconciliation

• Maintain ISO/EMS/OHSAS and internal control documentation
• Update procedure manuals based on actual practices
• Support internal control audits, including quarterly JSOX (FCRP reporting)
• Participate in 5S and departmental initiatives
• Handle filing and documentation management

• Bachelor of Science in Accountancy
• Preferably a Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
• 4–5 years of experience as Accounting Supervisor or senior accounting role in a manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards (PFRS)
• Experience in AP, treasury, and financial reporting functions
• Exposure to ISO/EMS/OHSAS and internal control systems is an advantage
• SAP experience is a plus
• Experience coordinating with external auditors, consultants, and government agencies preferred
• Strong analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and meet deadlines
