Brief Description and Purpose of the Position
The Area Head – Mindanao is responsible for driving business growth, revenue generation, and operational expansion across the Mindanao region. The role leads sales and business development initiatives, strengthens client relationships, identifies market opportunities, and ensures the achievement of regional performance targets aligned with company objectives.
The position oversees strategic account management, operational coordination, customer engagement, and team performance to support sustainable growth and profitability. The Area Head works closely with internal stakeholders and clients to strengthen market presence, improve customer satisfaction, and expand business opportunities within the region.
Key Responsibilities- Sales and Business Development
- Develops and executes regional sales and business development strategies aligned with company goals.
- Identifies new business opportunities, market trends, and potential clients within the Mindanao region.
- Drives revenue growth and market expansion through strategic partnerships and customer acquisition.
- Monitors sales pipeline, conversion rates, and account performance to achieve revenue targets.
- Ensures profitability targets and contribution margins are achieved and maintained.
- Workforce Leadership and Team Management
- Leads, mentors, and develops high-performing sales and account management teams.
- Oversees recruitment, onboarding, coaching, and performance management of team members.
- Establishes clear sales targets, KPIs, and performance expectations.
- Promotes a collaborative, customer-focused, and results-driven work culture.
- Conducts regular performance reviews and provides continuous coaching and development support.
- Customer and Account Management
- Builds and maintains strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders.
- Ensures excellent customer service and timely resolution of client concerns.
- Identifies opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and long-term account growth.
- Monitors customer satisfaction, retention, and service delivery performance.
- Represents the company in client meetings, business presentations, and industry engagements.
- Strategic Planning and Operational Coordination
- Develops regional operational plans and ensures alignment with corporate business objectives.
- Analyzes market data, competitor activities, and business trends to support decision-making.
- Coordinates closely with operations, finance, and support teams to ensure service efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Oversees compliance with company policies, internal procedures, and operational standards.
- Ensures proper utilization of CRM systems, sales tools, and reporting platforms.
- Performance Monitoring and Continuous Improvement
- Tracks regional sales performance, KPIs, and business development activities.
- Prepares and presents regular performance reports to management.
- Identifies process improvement opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and customer experience.
- Implements data-driven strategies to improve productivity, profitability, and service quality.
- Promotes innovation, adaptability, and continuous improvement within the region.
Qualification Standards
Education- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Supply Chain, or related field
- MBA is an advantage
- Minimum of 5–8 years of experience in sales, business development, account management, or related roles
- At least 3 years in a leadership or managerial capacity
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Strategic thinking and business development expertise
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Data-driven decision-making and analytical skills
- Customer-focused and results-oriented mindset
- Proficient in CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications
- Primarily field-based within the Mindanao region with regular client visits and business meetings
- Frequent travel within assigned territories
- Requires flexibility in working hours to support operational and client requirements
