Job Summary
The Team Leader oversees daily cafeteria or café operations to ensure efficient service, product quality, cleanliness, and customer satisfaction. The position involves supervising staff, enforcing company policies, coordinating with kitchen and support teams, and assisting management in achieving operational and business goals.
Duties and Responsibilities
Operations & Customer Service- Supervise daily cafeteria/café operations and ensure smooth service flow.
- Ensure food and beverage preparation and service comply with company standards.
- Handle customer concerns, complaints, and service recovery professionally.
- Ensure proper opening and closing procedures, including cash and outlet readiness.
- Lead, supervise, and motivate service crew, baristas, cashiers, and utility staff.
- Prepare and implement staff work schedules and task assignments.
- Monitor staff performance and recommend corrective or disciplinary actions when needed.
- Assist in onboarding and training of new employees.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of dining areas, equipment, and workstations.
- Ensure proper use, handling, and basic maintenance of café and kitchen equipment.
- Enforce company policies, health standards, and safety procedures.
- Assist in monitoring inventory levels of food, beverages, and supplies.
- Control wastage and report shortages, damages, and variances.
- Ensure accurate cash handling and POS transactions.
- Prepare and submit daily operational, sales, and attendance reports.
- Graduate of Hospitality Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Business Administration, or any related course.
- College level with relevant experience may be considered.
- At least 1–3 years experience in cafeteria or café operations.
- Prior experience as Senior Crew, Shift Supervisor, or Assistant Team Leader is preferred.
- Experience in customer service, cash handling, and staff supervision is an advantage.
- Strong leadership and team management skills
