Shift Structure- Official Job Title: Accounting Associate
- Office Location: Work-from-home set-up
- Shift Schedule: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST Monday to Friday
- Full-time, Non-Exempt
Location: Remote (Philippines)
Essential Functions and Responsibilities- Providing accounting and clerical assistance to the Finance department
- Preparing bank deposits, general ledger postings, and statements
- Perform basic office tasks, such as filing, data entry, answering phones, and emails, etc.
- Handling communications with other departments and vendors via slack, email, etc.
- Processing transactions, updating monthly reports.
- Preparing financial reports and payroll computation.
- Assisting with audits, fact checks, and resolving discrepancies.
- Reports to Accounting Officers, and Accounting Managers.
- Perform ad hoc tasks as needed.
- Over 3 years of hands-on experience in Philippine payroll processing, including computation of salaries, government contributions, and mandatory deductions.
- Knowledgeable in using government portals (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, BIR) for accurate and timely submission of reports and remittances.
- Fully aware of statutory deadlines and compliance requirements, with a strong track record of meeting all government filing schedules to avoid penalties.
- Proficient with bookkeeping software such as QuickBooks (preferred) and skilled in using Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications for data analysis and reporting.
- Supports month-end closing activities by ensuring payroll-related accounts are properly recorded and reconciled.
- Highly dependable and available to start immediately.
- Must be punctual or on time and adhere to the company's Time and Attendance policy.
- Must be able to remain sitting for the majority of their shift.
