This position is responsible for supporting the Spotlight Retail Group (Spotlight, Anaconda & Harris Scarfe) with appropriate Information that ensures operational efficiency and allows the business to maximise business opportunities.

Job Responsibilities:

• Ensure the timely completion of PA system tasks, including
• Managing and monitoring processes into PA
• Actively participate in and lead testing quality re methodology, scripting & execution across all test cycles (Unit, System, Integration, UAT & PVT)
• Data reconciliations across systems (Stores to ECC & BI Platforms & PA)
• Integrity of business systems by pro-actively managing data integrity issues and problem management, including assessing, logging, testing, and monitoring problems and change requests through to resolution.
• Manage the availability and performance of business information systems
• As required, gather and document business requirements, prepare functional designs and technical specifications covering all layers from ETL through to reporting
• Solution Architect - provide strong technical expertise re: design, development, testing, delivery, and deployment of PA solutions (ETL, Data Modelling, Cubes, Reports, PAX, PAW, TM1Py)
• Manage developments through to successful outcome - as defined by performance, data integrity and availability
• Optimisation of the architecture
• Data Management & Performance Tuning - e.g. aggregates, indexing, partitioning, clustering, archiving, compression, etc.
• Proactively improve back-end & front-end performance, availability, and data integrity
• Manage and maintain PA related process & system documentation
• Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and associated training plans for business information support and usage
• Participate in upgrade processes and expansion of current systems functionality
• Assist end-users to understand and interpret the information available within PA and other systems
• Investigate opportunities to introduce process efficiencies using exception/alert/dashboard reporting, query writing and generic queries where appropriate to PA models.
• Continued Professional Development to be able to provide expert advice re future data warehouse product trends and innovations to enable SRG to leverage its continued investment in PA.
• Other responsibilities as directed by the Senior Planning Analytics Specialist
• Desire to learn & acquire knowledge of feeder systems including SAP ECC, SAP BW/BW on HANA & Oracle DW.
• Actively lead & mentor other Team Members to build their PA skills - IT & Merchandisers
