Mainframe Tester

Job Description

Shift: Night Shift (9pm-6am)

Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled Mainframe Tester with strong experience in both manual and automated testing. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Mainframe Testing, Test Automation, API Testing, and modern automation tools such as Playwright and Selenium WebDriver.

The role involves designing, developing, and executing automated test solutions for mainframe and web-based applications while collaborating closely with business and technical teams to ensure high-quality software delivery.

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks.
• Perform testing for Mainframe and web-based applications.
• Execute functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing activities.
• Develop and execute API test cases using tools such as Postman and JMeter.
• Work closely with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to understand requirements and validate functionality.
• Identify, document, and track defects through resolution.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipeline integration and test automation initiatives.
• Support manual testing activities as needed during the team's transition to automation.
• Mentor and guide team members on automation best practices.

• Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
• Hands-on experience with test automation tools such as Playwright and Selenium WebDriver.
• Experience with programming/scripting languages including Java, TypeScript, JavaScript, or C++.
• Strong knowledge of automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proven experience in Mainframe Testing and Mainframe functionalities.
• Experience with API Testing using Postman, JMeter, or similar tools.
• Experience using Test Management and Defect Management tools such as Jira, PractiTest, and Confluence.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
