Job Purpose
KPH is now seeking to expand their team with an experienced Financial Controller. In this role the Financial Controller will be responsible for all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation using the Company’s ERP system as well as development of internal control policies and procedures.
The Financial Controller will be responsible for preparing a company’s monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports, which include balance sheets and income statements. Assist in compliance finance audits and monitoring internal controls to ensure that everyone does their job correctly.This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, financial analysis, and a proactive approach to the essential day to day tasks of a finance department.
It’s crucial for the Financial Controller to stay informed about developments in the field of Finance and in the industry in which the company operates and to keep management informed about these trends and changes.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee all accounting functions including Accounts Payable/Receivable, General Ledger, Inventory, and Revenue Recognition.
- Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS).
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable Philippine regulatory bodies, including:
- Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) – timely filing of tax returns (e.g., VAT, income tax, withholding tax).
- Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) – submission of Annual Financial Statements and General Information Sheets.
- Local Government Units (LGUs) – maintenance of valid business permits and local compliance documents.
- Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) – adherence to labor standards and employee welfare regulations.
- Coordinate and lead internal and external audits.
- Improve, implement and sustain internal control systems and accounting policies.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Mentor and manage the accounting team to ensure high performance and professional development
Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA or equivalent professional certification is required.
Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting experience.
- At least 5 years in managerial role.
- Strong experience in financial reporting, tax compliance, and audit coordination.
- Experience in [industry-specific experience, e.g., manufacturing, retail, etc.].
- Familiarity with international accounting standards (IFRS).

Core Financial Expertise- Accounting knowledge (GAAP, IFRS): Mastery of financial principles and reporting standards.
- Budgeting and forecasting: Developing accurate financial projections and managing expenses.
- Financial reporting: Preparing and presenting financial statements, dashboards, and analysis.
- Compliance & Risk Management
- Internal controls: Designing processes to safeguard assets and prevent fraud.
- Regulatory compliance: Staying up to date with tax laws and compliance with the government (BIR) regulations.
- Audit coordination: Liaising with internal and external auditors effectively.
- Communication & Leadership
- Clear reporting: Turning complicated financial terms into easy-to-understand explanations that help people make better decisions.
- Team management: Leading accounting teams and mentoring junior staff.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Partnering with procurement, operations, and executive leadership.
- ERP systems (e.g., Info SL, SAP, Oracle): Experience using ERP systems to support finance and accounting operations.
