Manager of Product Management - Back Office System
Job Description
As Manager of the Product Management department focused on our backoffice related tools and systems, you will be a vital member of the Digital Room team, working with your internal customers to understand their workflows, needs, and interactions with our suite of homegrown systems, as well as some third-party solutions integrations.You will identify, assess, and champion opportunities to implement or improve features and tools to improve efficiency, facilitate scaling of our operations, and/or expand the accuracy, usability, and timeliness of our operational metrics and analyses in our backoffice workflows.
You will work with your peers across various manufacturing operations teams to steer the product development roadmap for Digital Room’s backoffice-related systems. You will work closely with stakeholders at all levels of the Digital Room enterprise to develop accurate business requirements, set prioritization of all ongoing development projects, track progress of all ongoing initiatives, and regularly provide relevant and timely updates to stakeholders to keep them well informed.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities- Compose, champion, and drive the strategy and roadmap for the company’s proprietary and purpose-built manufacturing systems and any integrations between those systems and third-party systems and tools
- Lead your product team to deliver exceptional internal customer experiences across our facilities and operational teams
- Create business cases and requirements for a unique product or set of systems, functions, and features in Digital Room’s suite of software and systems
- Assess the quality and effectiveness of our systems and tools through operational metrics and non-operational metrics (e.g., NPS)
- Define, implement, monitor, and improve performance KPIs
- Recruit, hire, train, develop, and manage your team
- Act as a coordinator of product strategy and innovation to achieve a cohesive and unified strategy across the company
- Guide improvements in SCRUM/Agile execution
- Provide insights on product strategy, industry trends, etc. to the executive team
- Study internal customers to understand workflow processes and required data capture for job tracking and reporting needs
- Work closely with Software Developers to design, build, and launch elegant tools and features that solve internal customers’ problems
- 5+ years of product team leadership experience – ideally in an ecommerce and web-to-product setting
- Education: 4-year degree or equivalent work experience with a strong track record of success building and delivering software systems, functions, and features
- Success in recruiting, training, developing, mentoring, and retaining teams
- Ability to manage resources and processes across multiple locations and time zones
- Working knowledge of business/financial planning and budgeting
- Experience with problem-solving within multi-faceted and complex systems
- Experience negotiating with third-party providers of products and services
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and working with technical and non-technical teams
- Desire to be part of a fast-growing, dynamic, and entrepreneurially-minded team
- Experience and success working with software engineering and creative staff in a fast-paced environment

- Competent operator within and across teams – teamwork is an essential dimension of Digital Room’s ongoing success, and there are few roles in which teamwork is as critical as is the case for Product Management
- Scrum/Agile experience and success is a must
