Architect – Design Team (Construction Industry)

Reports To: Design Manager, Lead Architect, or Head of Design & Engineering

Job Summary

The Architect supports projects from conceptual design through construction completion.

• Develop architectural concepts, schematic designs, and detailed construction drawings.
• Prepare and review plans, elevations, sections, details, and 3D models.
• Ensure designs comply with building codes, zoning regulations, and industry standards.
• Coordinate with structural, civil, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineers.
• Collaborate with project managers, estimators, and construction teams during project development.
• Review client requirements and incorporate them into design solutions.
• Prepare design presentations, reports, and technical documentation.
• Assist in obtaining permits and regulatory approvals.
• Conduct site visits to verify existing conditions and monitor construction progress.
• Review shop drawings, material submittals, and requests for information (RFIs).
• Identify and resolve design-related issues during construction.
• Support value engineering and cost optimization initiatives.
• Maintain project documentation and drawing revisions.

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture.
• Professional Architect license/registration (preferred or required, depending on jurisdiction).
• Experience with architectural design and construction documentation.
• Knowledge of building codes, construction methods, and materials.
• Proficiency in CAD and BIM software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp).
