IT Security Manager

Job Overview:

The IT Security Lead/Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the organization’s information security program to protect its IT infrastructure, systems, and data from internal and external threats.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive IT security posture assessments, identify vulnerabilities, and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Design, implement, and manage data loss prevention (DLP) solutions to protect sensitive data from unauthorized access and exfiltration.
• Ensure 100% coverage of antivirus (AV) software on servers and maintain a high level of AV coverage (e.g., 95%) on workstations.
• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments on servers, analyze results, and implement timely software updates and patches to remediate vulnerabilities.
• Perform network device audits, including firewall policy reviews and account login reviews, to ensure compliance with security standards.
• Manage and mentor the IT Security team, providing guidance, training, and development opportunities.
• Promote a culture of information security awareness through training programs, communication campaigns, and annual information security exams.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in IT security, including experience in a leadership role.
• Strong understanding of information security principles, best practices, and industry standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework).
• Experience with security assessment tools, vulnerability scanning, and penetration testing.
• Knowledge of data loss prevention (DLP) technologies and strategies.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage security incidents.
• Relevant industry certifications, such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA, are highly desirable.
