IT Specialist

Job Summary

Acts as the main point of contact with all IT-related matters with external vendors and Project Manager in managing outsourced resources and provides recommendations and directions to the team.

1. General Responsibilities
2. 1 Ensure stable, reliable, and secure operation of all IT infrastructure systems.
3. 2 Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
4. 3 Ensure compliance with company policies, standard operating procedures, and regulatory requirements.
5. 4 Maintain accurate system documentation, network diagrams, and configuration records.
6. 5 Promote a culture of cybersecurity awareness, data privacy, and responsible use of IT resources.
7. 6 Practice professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical standards in handling company information and systems.
8. 7 Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business operations through effective technology solutions.
9. 8 Act as the Data Privacy Officer of the company.
10. Infrastructure and Systems Management
11. 1 Design, implement, configure, and maintain the organization’s IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage, cloud platforms, and end-user systems, in compliance with the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173).
12. 2 Monitor system performance, capacity, and availability; perform regular maintenance, patching, and upgrades to ensure system stability and security.
13. 3 Implement and manage endpoint protection, firewalls, network security controls, and access management to safeguard company data and systems.
14. 4 Enforce access controls, encryption standards, and data protection mechanisms to ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information assets.
15. Project Management
16. 1 Handle infrastructure-related IT projects such as server deployments, network upgrades, system migrations, and security enhancements.
17. 2 Review project proposals and assess technical feasibility, risks, and data privacy impact.
18. 3 Manage projects from planning through execution and completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and compliance requirements.
19. Vendor and Service Provider Management
20. 1 Main point of contact with all IT-related matters with external vendors, service providers, and contractors for infrastructure implementation, maintenance, and support.
21. 2 Administer vendor scopes of work, schedules, service level agreements (SLAs), and data protection obligations.
22. 3 Monitor vendor performance and ensure compliance with contracts, security, and privacy requirements.
23. Monitoring and Reporting
24. 1 Provide regular operational, performance, security, and compliance reports to the immediate leader.
25. 2 Track incidents, outages, vulnerabilities, and remediation actions, ensuring proper documentation and escalation.
26. Continuous Improvement and Compliance
27. 1 Initiate improvements in infrastructure processes, system reliability, security posture, and operational efficiency.
28. 2 Keep up to date with emerging technologies, cybersecurity threats, and infrastructure best practices.
29. 3 Participate in internal and external audits, vulnerability assessments, and compliance reviews related to RA 10173, better known as the Data Privacy Act of 2012.
30. Other Related Duties
31. 1 Perform other infrastructure-related tasks as assigned in company offices, facilities, sites, and remote locations, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and applicable laws.
