Job Summary:

The Construction Management Division – Quantity Survey Associate (Civil, Structural & Architectural) provides critical support in the quantity surveying and cost management functions for civil, structural, and architectural scopes within the Construction Management Division.

Reporting directly to the CMD – QS – Civil | Structural | Architectural, this role contributes to the preparation of cost estimates, bill of quantities, tender documentation, and cost monitoring during construction. The QS Associate works closely with project teams to ensure accurate and timely cost control, documentation, and contract administration, supporting the overall goal of delivering projects within budget and in line with client expectations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Cost Estimation and Budgeting
  • Assist in preparing preliminary and detailed cost estimates for CSA scopes based on design drawings and technical specifications.
  • Support in developing and updating Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for tendering and procurement.
  • Coordinate with design consultants and the QS lead for alignment of cost with evolving design.
  1. Tender and Procurement Support
  • Assist in the preparation of tender documents including BOQ, technical conditions, and pricing forms.
  • Participate in bid evaluations by providing quantity and cost comparisons.
  • Support in documenting contract award recommendations and coordinating with procurement.
  1. Cost Monitoring and Control
  • Monitor actual quantities and verify contractor submissions against approved plans and BOQs.
  • Assist in evaluating variation orders and change requests for CSA scopes.
  • Maintain cost documentation and records in coordination with the CMD - QS Lead.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field
  • Possession of relevant professional certifications or licenses (e.g. PRC License Holder, TPICQS, etc.)
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in quantity surveying, cost estimation, and construction cost management, ideally with a focus on pre-construction, tendering, and award phases.
  • Working knowledge of cost estimation, BOQ preparation, contract administration, and financial analysis for CSA works.
  • Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and construction methodologies.
  • Proficiency in quantity surveying software (e.g. PlanSwift) and other cost management tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and technical specifications.
  • Detail-oriented with strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Capable of working under supervision with commitment to deadlines.
  • Reliable and organized with a proactive attitude.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.
