The SENIOR COPYWRITER is responsible for creating engaging and persuasive written content for various marketing materials. They work closely with the creative team and shared services to develop compelling messaging that resonates with the target audience.
They creatively craft and tell the story of any brand through Copy and Creative Data Tech. This role demands advanced creative and technical expertise, leadership, strategic thinking, and innovative problem-solving capabilities.
The role stays up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices and is able to identify new opportunities and strategies for improving overall performance as well as growth.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- ) Copywriting
- Lead the creation of compelling, high-quality copy for a wide range of advertising materials, including Social, Digital, ATL & BTL.
- Collaborate with the art team to ensure that visual elements and copy complement each other effectively.
- Develop and refine messaging strategies that align with brand identity and campaign objectives.
- Create storytelling frameworks and brand narratives that enhance audience engagement and build emotional connections.
- Vs. a copywriter, a Senior Copywriter creates better content in a shorter amount of time
- ) Research and Strategy
- Conduct in-depth research on industry trends, audience behaviors, and competitor strategies to inform content creation.
- Stay updated on emerging copywriting trends and innovative approaches to advertising and content marketing.
- Identify opportunities for content innovation and proactively recommend improvements to existing strategies.
- Vs. a copywriter, a Senior Copywriter is more expected to be strategically on point with less/minimal supervision
- ) Editing and Proofreading
- Oversee the editing and proofreading of content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and brand consistency.
- Conduct thorough reviews of materials for grammar, punctuation, spelling, and adherence to brand guidelines.
- Maintain accountability for the overall quality and consistency of all written content.
- Vs. a copywriter, a Senior Copywriter should be able to spot and edit any grammar or copy mistakes on their own
- ) Collaboration and Communication
- Partner with creative directors, associate creative directors, and the rest of the designers, and marketing teams to develop integrated campaigns that seamlessly combine copy and visuals.
- Work closely with the creatives team and shared services to ensure copy aligns with project objectives, target audience needs, and brand guidelines.
- Lead brainstorming sessions and discussions around creative concepts and messaging strategies.
- ) Project Management
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
- Effectively prioritize tasks and allocate resources to support team goals and deliverables.
- Provide status updates and communicate progress to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment.
- ) Creativity and Innovation
- Drive the generation of creative ideas and unique concepts for campaigns, advertisements, and marketing initiatives.
- Experiment with new formats, styles, and techniques to enhance the effectiveness and impact of content.
- Lead in cultivating a culture of creativity and innovation within the team.

- Is Proficient in using writing tools and platforms for content creation.
- Is Strong in storytelling and narrative development.

- Has Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, Slides)

- Has Mastery in Ideation (Creative Data Tech): Mastery in bringing to life said brand concepts/messages/stories/big ideas in ATL and Digital platforms including but not limited to TV, Radio, Print, Outdoor, On-Ground, FB, YT, IG, TIKTOK, Web, Search, AR, VR, ER etc.
- Has Mastery in Execution (Copywriting): Mastery in crafting all types of copy for ATL and all types of digital platforms including but not limited to film script, radio script, dj spiels, headlines, body copy, captions, website copy, e-commerce copy, influencer spiels, case film script etc.
- Has Mastery in Presentation: Mastery in presenting ideas and executions clearly, creatively, and compellingly to teammates, line managers, to internal stakeholders, and to clients.
- Has Mastery in Work Ethic: Mastery in working independently and working within a team. Must be able to embrace feedback and builds from teammates, line managers, internal stakeholders, and clients. Must be organized and efficient.
- 4-year college degree preferably in Advertising, Communication Arts, Journalism, Creative Writing, Literature, or any related course.
- 3-5 years experience as an advertising Copywriter.
- Must pass the NuWorks Copy Test.
