About the role

Hospitality Resources Inc is seeking an experienced Audit Supervisor to join our external audit team. This is a full-time position based in Mactan, Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu. As an Audit Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing audit engagements, managing audit teams, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality audit services to our clients.

This position is strategically important to our audit practice, as it bridges the gap between senior audit management and field audit staff, ensuring compliance with audit standards and driving client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities
  1. Plan and coordinate audit engagements, including scoping, budgeting, and resource allocation for assigned department assessing procedures including testing of controls, substantive testing, and evaluation of audit evidence
  2. Assess internal control systems and identify areas of risk and control deficiencies
  3. Prepare audit reports, findings, and recommendations for management and stakeholders
  4. Communicate with departments regarding audit progress, findings, and any issues requiring management attention
  5. Ensure all audit work is performed in accordance with International Standards on Auditing (ISA) and applicable regulatory requirements
  6. Monitor audit budgets and timelines to ensure engagements are delivered efficiently and cost-effectively
  7. Participate in continuous professional development and stay current with changes in audit standards and accounting regulations
What we're looking for
  1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  2. Minimum 1-3 years of experience in internal/external audit, with at least 2-3 years experience.
  3. Strong knowledge of International Standards on Auditing (ISA) and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
  4. Proven experience in conducting audit engagements across various industries, preferably including hospitality or service sectors
  5. Excellent understanding of internal controls, risk assessment, and audit sampling techniques
  6. Strong technical accounting knowledge and ability to research complex accounting issues
  7. Demonstrated ability to manage and mentor junior audit staff effectively
  8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with departments at all levels
  9. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  10. Proficiency in in Microsoft Office applications, and Opera system.
  11. Attention to detail and commitment to quality and accuracy
  12. Ability to manage multiple engagements simultaneously and work under pressure to meet deadlines
