Job Summary:
The Sales & Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing and executing sales and marketing strategies to drive growth, increase brand awareness, and achieve sales targets for Timberland in the Philippines. This role requires a dynamic individual with a strong understanding of both sales and marketing principles, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record in the retail and wholesale sectors.A key aspect of this role will be managing visual merchandising standards across all retail touchpoints and nurturing strong relationships with wholesale partners to maximize distribution and sales.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets across all channels (retail and wholesale).
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand Timberland's market share in the Philippines.
- Analyze sales data, market trends, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and challenges.
- Prepare accurate sales forecasts and budgets.
- Negotiate and finalize wholesale agreements, ensuring favorable terms and conditions.
- Monitor and manage wholesale accounts, ensuring timely order fulfillment, payment collection, and strong ongoing relationships.
- Develop and implement incentive programs for sales teams and wholesale partners.
- Develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns (ATL, BTL, digital) aligned with global Timberland brand guidelines and local market nuances.
- Oversee the planning and execution of product launches, promotional activities, and seasonal campaigns.
- Manage the marketing budget effectively, ensuring optimal ROI for all activities.
- Collaborate with the global/regional Timberland marketing teams to localize campaigns and ensure brand consistency.
- Drive digital marketing initiatives, including social media management, e-commerce support, and online advertising.
- Identify and secure relevant partnerships and collaborations to enhance brand visibility.
- Monitor brand health and conduct market research to understand consumer preferences and market trends.
- Manage public relations activities and media outreach.
- Develop and implement visual merchandising strategies that align with Timberland's global brand standards and local market appeal.
- Ensure consistent and appealing product display across all retail stores (company-owned and wholesale partner locations).
- Provide guidance and training to store staff and wholesale partners on visual merchandising best practices.
- Oversee the production and deployment of in-store marketing materials, signage, and promotional displays.
- Conduct regular store visits to assess visual merchandising execution and provide feedback.
- Stay updated on industry trends and innovative visual merchandising techniques.
IV. Wholesale Account Management:
- Cultivate and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing wholesale partners.
- Identify and onboard new wholesale accounts that align with Timberland's brand image and distribution strategy.
- Provide regular business reviews and performance updates to wholesale partners.
- Collaborate with wholesale partners on marketing initiatives and promotional activities.
- Address and resolve any issues or concerns raised by wholesale accounts in a timely and professional manner.
- Ensure wholesale partners adhere to Timberland's brand guidelines and visual merchandising standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in sales and marketing, preferably in the retail, apparel, footwear, or lifestyle goods industry.
- Proven experience in managing a premium international brand is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and driving market share growth.
- Strong understanding of both traditional and digital marketing channels.
- In-depth knowledge of visual merchandising principles and best practices.
- Excellent relationship management skills with a proven ability to manage wholesale accounts.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Proactive, results-oriented, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Fluency in English and Filipino (both written and spoken) is essential.
- Willingness to travel abroad
