1. Strategic Leadership

1. Collaborate with the CEO and executive team to set and execute the company's strategic vision and long-term goals.
2. Provide leadership across multiple departments including operations, production, supply chain, and quality control.

1. Financial Oversight

1. Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial performance of manufacturing operations.
2. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive profitability and efficiency.

1. People Management

1. Develop and mentor department heads and managers.
2. Foster a culture of accountability, safety, innovation, and continuous improvement.

1. Risk & Compliance

1. Ensure compliance with local, national, and international laws and standards (e.g., OSHA, ISO).
2. Mitigate risks related to manufacturing and operational processes.

1. Corporate Governance

1. Participate in board-level discussions and reporting as needed.
2. Promote ethical business practices and corporate values.

1. Operations Management:

1. Lead and optimize end-to-end manufacturing processes.
2. Ensure production targets are met within time, cost, and quality parameters.

1. Supply Chain and Procurement:

1. Oversee procurement, vendor relationships, and inventory control.
2. Implement lean manufacturing and Just-In-Time (JIT) practices where applicable.

1. Product Quality and Innovation:

1. Ensure adherence to quality assurance standards and continuous improvement initiatives.
2. Collaborate with R&D for new product development and design for manufacturability.

1. Technology Integration:

1. Lead the digital transformation of manufacturing processes, including automation and Industry initiatives.
2. Evaluate and adopt new technologies that enhance productivity and competitiveness.

1. Sustainability & ESG:

1. Develop environmentally sustainable practices and contribute to ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) objectives.
2. Reduce waste and carbon footprint in line with corporate responsibility goals.

1. Customer and Market Focus:

1. Work closely with sales and marketing teams to align production capabilities with market demands.
2. Ensure customer satisfaction through quality, on-time delivery, and responsiveness.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Extensive expertise in strategic operations management, with a proven track record of developing and executing integrated operational plans across multi-functional divisions, resulting in measurable improvements in efficiency, cost control, and quality.
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a track record of leading enterprise-wide process improvements, driving innovation, and delivering data-driven solutions that enhance operational efficiency and resolve complex business challenges.
• Strong executive leadership and organizational management, with the ability to lead large-scale manufacturing operations, manage diverse teams, and make critical decisions aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills, capable of influencing across all levels of the organization, building collaborative relationships, and maintaining strong client and partner engagement.
• Comprehensive knowledge of regulatory standards and operational compliance, including ISO, OSH, environmental, and labor regulations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or related field (MBA or Master’s preferred).
• 30+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience (VP/Director/Manager level).
• Proven track record in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and operational excellence.
• Experience in manufacturing and trading company.
• Japanese language proficiency, native speaker.
