Position Overview:
We're looking for a proactive, detail-oriented Controller to lead the company's financial operations and reporting. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will play a critical role in driving compliance, financial accuracy, and strategic financial support for the business.This role is ideal for a hands-on finance leader with a passion for structure, numbers, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all accounting operations, including A/P, A/R, payroll, and the general ledger.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual GAAP-compliant financial statements.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis across departments.
- Manage cash flow planning and ensure ongoing liquidity.
- Coordinate with external auditors and prepare audit schedules.
- Ensure tax filings and other compliance obligations are completed accurately and on time.
- Develop and enforce internal financial controls and procedures.
- Provide strategic financial insights and reports to executive leadership.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master's preferred).
- CPA designation strongly preferred.
- 3-5 years of progressive accounting/finance experience, ideally in a multi-entity environment.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP.
- Prior experience managing audits and tax filings.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
Nice-to-Haves:
- 7+ years of experience preferred.
- Experience in a startup or high-growth environment.
- Experienced in QuickBooks for bookkeeping and accounting tasks.
- Familiarity with international tax and regulatory compliance.
- Prior work with companies in travel, hospitality, or marketplace platforms.
- Background working with remote teams across multiple time zones.
