Junior DevOps Engineer

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provision, configure, and manage AWS cloud resources based on project requirements.
• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD to automate the software delivery process.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to automate the deployment and management of infrastructure components.
• Work with Docker to create and manage containerized applications, and Kubernetes for container orchestration.
• Facilitate continuous integration by automating the build, test, and integration processes.
• Automate deployment processes to ensure reliable and consistent application releases.
• Set up monitoring solutions to track system performance and configure alerts for potential issues.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure seamless integration of DevOps practices into the development lifecycle.
• Maintain documentation for infrastructure configurations, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment processes.
• Implement security measures in the CI/CD pipeline and infrastructure configurations to ensure compliance with security standards.
• Respond to and troubleshoot incidents related to infrastructure or deployment issues.
• Stay informed about new AWS services, DevOps practices, and industry trends through continuous learning.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• At least 2 years experience as DevOps Engineer or in a similar software engineering role
• Proficiency with GIT and Github workflows, knowledge in database management, server management.
• Obtain relevant certifications, such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, to validate skills in AWS cloud services and DevOps practices.
• Extensive experience with AWS services, including but not limited to EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, and VPC.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline.
• Strong scripting skills in languages like Python, Bash, or Ruby.
