Your Responsibilities as a Service Desk Engineer would be:- Monitor alerts via Slack and email and respond in a timely manner
- Manage queries via email and chat regarding IT issues and questions.
- Communicate progress in a timely manner to all relevant parties.
- Gather and record all relevant issue details to submit for second level support when needed.
- Document technical efforts and create KB articles when new information is learned.
- Be available to work 24x7.
Qualifications/Requirements
Qualifications as a Service Desk Engineer:- Basic knowledge of working with Linux environments, working in the terminal, and a basic understanding of Windows, servers, and general networking skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent customer service ability.
- SD experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to manage queries via email and chat regarding IT issues and questions.
- Ability to gather and record all relevant issue details to submit for second-level support when needed.
- Ability to communicate progress in a timely manner.
- Ability to create KB articles when new information is learned.
- Amenable to work 24x7
