Your Responsibilities as a Service Desk Engineer would be:
  • Monitor alerts via Slack and email and respond in a timely manner
  • Manage queries via email and chat regarding IT issues and questions.
  • Communicate progress in a timely manner to all relevant parties.
  • Gather and record all relevant issue details to submit for second level support when needed.
  • Document technical efforts and create KB articles when new information is learned.
  • Be available to work 24x7.

Qualifications/Requirements

Qualifications as a Service Desk Engineer:
  • Basic knowledge of working with Linux environments, working in the terminal, and a basic understanding of Windows, servers, and general networking skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service ability.
  • SD experience is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to manage queries via email and chat regarding IT issues and questions.
  • Ability to gather and record all relevant issue details to submit for second-level support when needed.
  • Ability to communicate progress in a timely manner.
  • Ability to create KB articles when new information is learned.
  • Amenable to work 24x7
