Job Description:
The Trader supports the Energy Trading Team by providing quantitative analysis, market intelligence, and operational support to optimize trading strategies in electricity, renewables, or other energy commodities. This role combines data analytics, market research, and real-time trading insights to help Energy Trading Team make informed decisions and manage risk effectively.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Management, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field
- 1–3 years’ experience in energy trading, utility economics, financial analytics, or related areas
- Knowledge of energy, reserve and renewable markets, WESM pricing, forecasting, and power industry fundamentals
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Proactive, diligent, and a collaborative team player with leadership potential
- Able to work under pressure and adapt in a fast-paced market environment
