Software Quality Assurance Lead (with Automation Experience)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Software Quality Assurance Lead to drive end-to-end quality for a Trade, Supply Chain, and Microfinance platform. This role will lead test strategy, automation, and release readiness, ensuring delivery of a secure, stable, and production-ready system.

• Own and execute the test strategy, including test planning, environments, and release readiness
• Lead test planning, defect triage, and quality reviews
• Design and implement automated tests (UI & API) and maintain automation frameworks
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps) with defined quality gates
• Oversee functional, integration, and performance testing
• Ensure data accuracy through validation and reconciliation
• Monitor quality metrics (defects, coverage, automation results) and provide clear risk reporting
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors to resolve quality issues
• Support UAT, release decisions (go/no-go), and final test reporting

Qualifications (Tech Stack Focus)

• 10+ years' experience in QA / Test Leadership (Agile environment). Experience as test manager is an advantage.
• Strong experience with test automation frameworks
• Test automation knowledge and experience is highly preferred.
• Must have experience as Test Lead in Agile software development.
• Must have proven business process and requirements analysis skills to support effective preparation of test scenarios and test cases
• Experience in testing regulated financial systems
• Awareness of data privacy, security, and audit requirements
• Experience supporting internal or external audits (advantage)
• Proficiency in Selenium or Playwright test automation frameworks is required
• Hands-on expertise in:
• Azure DevOps (Test Plans, Pipelines)
• Selenium + Cucumber (or similar UI automation tools)
• PowerAutomate
• API Testing (Postman, SoapUI)
• Performance testing (JMeter, Datadog Synthetics)
• Experience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines with quality gates
• Solid understanding of API, UI, and integration testing
• Proficiency in SQL for data validation and testing
• Intermediate level SQL proficiency with joins capability is required for data validation and testing
• Experience testing web applications (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React/Angular)
• Experience testing backend systems (Node.js, Java, Python)

• Experience in financial services / banking systems (required)
• Exposure to regulated systems, security, and data privacy
• Strong experience in system integration and data migration testing
• Familiarity with reporting and dashboard testing

• Proven ability to lead QA end-to-end and influence delivery teams
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to work in fast-paced, Agile environments
• Skilled in stakeholder reporting and risk escalation
