Commercial Head

The Commercial Head leads VCT’s commercial growth agenda, with primary responsibility for expanding foreign container volumes and strengthening VCT’s position as the gateway port for Central Philippines. The role drives business development and customer acquisition across shipping lines, BCOs, freight forwarders, and logistics partners, while shaping market strategies to attract new trade flows and deliver sustainable growth.

Responsibilities:

• Lead terminal volume and revenue growth, prioritizing foreign container throughput.
• Identify, target, and convert high-potential BCOs and emerging markets.
• Build, coach, and elevate the Commercial team to achieve high performance and commercial excellence.
• Strengthen alignment between commercial and operations to enhance service delivery.
• Ensure structured customer engagement and proactive resolution of service issues.
• Collaborate with the CEO to enhance service reliability, efficiency, and safety.
• Build relationships with foreign chambers, embassies, trade associations, and industry stakeholders.
• Represent VCT in high-level meetings and forums related to commercial development and partnerships.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Logistics, Supply Chain, Maritime, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years managerial experience in commercial, logistics, shipping line, supply chain, or port operations
• Strong background in sales management, business development, and customer relationship management.
• Proven leadership and people management capability.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
