Truck Mechanic

Truck Maintenance and Repair:

• Perform routine maintenance on trucks and heavy-duty vehicles, including oil changes, brake checks, tire rotations, and engine inspections.
• Diagnose mechanical issues and perform necessary repairs on engines, transmission systems, brakes, electrical systems, and other truck components.
• Conduct thorough inspections of trucks to identify any potential issues that could affect safety or performance.
• Troubleshooting and Diagnostics:
• Use diagnostic equipment and tools to identify issues with truck systems and components.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues as they arise.
• Preventive Maintenance:
• Conduct scheduled maintenance tasks to ensure that trucks are running efficiently and are compliant with safety and environmental regulations.
• Keep records of all maintenance activities performed on each vehicle to maintain an accurate service history.
• Parts and Tools Management:
• Order and maintain an inventory of spare parts and tools required for truck repairs and maintenance.
• Ensure that all tools and equipment are maintained in good condition and are used safely.
• Safety and Compliance:
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols while performing maintenance and repairs on trucks.
• Ensure that vehicles meet local and federal regulations regarding safety, emissions, and inspection requirements.
• Additional Responsibilities:
• Assist with truck inspections and prepare vehicles for safety or regulatory inspections.
• Report any major mechanical failures or hazards to the Chief Mechanic.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the Chief Mechanic.
