Warehouse Supervisor

A Warehouse Supervisor oversees daily operations within a warehouse or distribution center, ensuring efficient, safe, and timely handling of goods. They coordinate staff, manage inventory, maintain safety standards, and optimize processes to improve productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and schedule warehouse staff, including training and performance management.
• Monitor inbound and outbound shipments for accuracy and timeliness.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through regular audits and system updates.
• Coordinate with logistics, procurement, and other departments for smooth operations.
• Identify process improvements to enhance warehouse efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Operate warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts) when needed.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience in warehouse operations or logistics.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory software.
• Good organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and OSHA regulations.
• Physical stamina and ability to lift/move heavy items as needed.

Typical Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in logistics or supply chain management preferred.
• 2–5 years of experience in warehouse or distribution settings.
• Forklift certification (often required or preferred).
