1. JOB SUMMARY

The Industrial Engineer is responsible for analyzing, designing, and improving operational processes to enhance productivity, efficiency, quality, and cost control. The role supports continuous improvement initiatives through data analysis, process optimization, and standardization across operations.

1. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Analyze existing processes, workflows, and production systems to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.
• Conduct time and motion studies, work measurement, and capacity analysis to optimize manpower and machine utilization.
• Develop and implement process improvements, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and work standards.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to productivity, quality, cost, and delivery.
• Support production planning, line balancing, and resource allocation activities.
• Perform root cause analysis and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Participate in continuous improvement projects (Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma initiatives).
• Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations for management review.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to implement approved improvements.

1. JOB SPECIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related technical or engineering course.

• 2–5 years of relevant experience in industrial production environments, preferably in commercial or industrial laundry operations, manufacturing plants, or similar production facilities.
• Hands-on exposure to laundry machinery such as washer–extractors, dryers, flatwork ironers, boilers, steam systems, and material-handling equipment.

• Strong understanding of industrial production processes, equipment utilization, and workflow optimization related to laundry operations.
• Working knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical controls, and basic automation used in laundry machines.
• Ability to analyze machine capacity, downtime, productivity, and efficiency.
• Competence in reading and interpreting machine manuals, technical drawings, and process flow diagrams.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Good communication and coordination skills to work with maintenance, production, and operations teams.

• Industrial Production Processes – Understanding end-to-end laundry production flow, from sorting to washing, drying, finishing, and dispatch.
• Process Improvement & Work Measurement – Time and motion studies, line balancing, capacity planning, and productivity analysis for laundry operations.
• Equipment Utilization & Efficiency – Monitoring machine performance, downtime analysis, and optimization of washer, dryer, and ironer utilization.
• Preventive Maintenance Awareness – Coordination with maintenance teams to reduce breakdowns and improve machine reliability.
• Quality Control in Production – Standardization of processes, defect reduction, and consistency in output quality.
