Accounting Supervisor - Mexico - ref. e01360815

The Accounting Supervisor will be responsible tax calculations and compliance with applicable laws and regulations. The role will also assist in monthly financial statement closing activities in relation to tax transactions.

1. Prepares tax calculations and analyses for monthly, quarterly and annual filing and payments of all applicable taxes of the company (e.g. expanded withholding tax, withholding tax on compensation, VAT and corporate income tax)
2. Ensures completeness of files/documents subject for reporting to BIR and ensures it reflects the accurate performance of the company
3. Liaise with BIR and government offices and assure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
4. Lead the coordination with and provide the requirements of tax auditors and/or consultants for ongoing tax audit or other tax related work
5. Assist with tax compliance deadlines, extensions and audits

Other Duties:

1. Observes/complies with company policies and procedures
2. Performs other related duties as may be assigned

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/ Finance or Accounting Technology required
• CPA/ CMA/ CIMA preferred
• Certified Accounting Technician is required if candidate is a graduate of BS Accounting Technology

Experience:

• Strong accounting and finance background with at least 2-year experience in functional area
• Experience in tax compliance, BIR audits and general accounting
• Experience working with external auditors, internal controls and compliance-related issues

• Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively work with staff at various levels and report to executive management

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and intermediate in Excel
