Senior Commercial Officer

The Senior Commercial Officer assists the Commercial Head in leading and supervising the Commercial Officers to achieve the department’s sales, volume, and revenue targets. The role supports the implementation of commercial and business development initiatives, customer relationship management, and coordination with other departments to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Commercial Manager in implementing commercial strategies to support volume growth, revenue generation, and market expansion.
- Support the identification and development of new business opportunities within supply chain, logistics, shipping lines, and port-related industries.
- Support the management and strengthening of relationships with shipping lines, BCOs, freight forwarders, logistics providers, and key accounts.
- Assist in achieving assigned volume, revenue, and commercial targets.
- Assist the Commercial Manager in supervising, mentoring, and developing the Commercial Officers and support staff.
- Assist in operational planning and implementation of customer requirements and service improvements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Logistics, Supply Chain, Maritime, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience in commercial, logistics, shipping line, supply chain, or port operations
- Strong background in people management and business development
- Solid experience in sales and marketing
- Skilled in customer engagement and account management.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
