Sales Supervisor

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Supervisor to promote and sell our cold and dry storage solutions as well as refrigerated trucking (reefer) services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in B2B sales, logistics, or supply chain, with a proven ability to build client relationships, understand temperature-controlled logistics, and close deals in a competitive market.
Key Responsibilities:- Business Development
- Identify potential clients requiring cold/dry storage or refrigerated transportation services.
- Build and maintain a qualified pipeline of leads and prospects.
- Initiate contact through calls, emails, and client visits to present service offerings.
- Schedule meetings and presentations with key decision-makers.
- Deliver professional presentations highlighting service capabilities, rates, and value propositions.
- Recommend and propose new services based on market needs.
- Negotiate pricing, contract terms, and service level agreements (SLAs) within defined profitability parameters.
- Key Account Management & Customer Support
- Act as the main point of contact for assigned clients.
- Collaborate with operations and logistics teams to ensure smooth onboarding and service execution.
- Monitor client usage of storage and reefer services and identify upselling opportunities. Address client queries, complaints, and service-related concerns promptly.
- Coordinate with warehouse and transport managers to enhance service quality and resolve issues.
- Liaise with the Finance department for claims resolution and accounts receivable tracking.
- Market Intelligence & Networking
- Monitor competitor pricing, capacity, and service offerings.
- Attend industry exhibitions, trade shows, and networking events to generate new leads. Stay updated with cold chain logistics regulations, safety standards, and industry trends.
- Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain accurate records of all sales activities, client interactions, proposals, and contracts.
- Submit regular (weekly/monthly) sales performance reports including KPIs such as leads generated, conversions, and revenue achieved.
- Administrative Duties
- Prepare sales forecasts and contribute to the budgeting process.
- Maintain updated service brochures, pricing schedules, and promotional materials.
Required Skills & Qualifications: Core Sales Skills
- Proven B2B sales and negotiation expertise.
- Strong ability in lead generation, cold calling, and prospecting.
- Effective key account management and customer retention skills.
- Familiarity with contract review and service agreement management.
- Understanding of cold chain logistics, including storage conditions and compliance requirements.
- Experience in refrigerated transport operations, fleet scheduling, and routing.
- Knowledge of sectors like food & beverage, pharmaceuticals, seafood, agriculture, and FMCG.
- Awareness of regulatory permits and documentation for reefer operations.
