Part-Time Full-Stack Software Engineer (WFH)

Role Overview:

We’re looking for a Part -Time Full-Stack Software Engineer to work closely with our U.S.-based engineering lead to build and scale core features across the patient portal, internal tools, and APIs. You should be comfortable contributing to both the frontend and backend, writing clean, well-tested code, and participating in architecture decisions that impact system scalability and reliability.

Work Hours: 40 hours/week

Our Stack:

Frontend: Next.js (React, TypeScript, TailwindCSS)
Backend: Python, Django, PostgreSQL
Infrastructure: AWS (EC2, S3, RDS), Vercel (for frontend), Docker
Integrations: Tellescope, Beluga, Vital, Stripe, Auth0/Cognito

Responsibilities:

Build and maintain features in the patient portal (Next.js + Django API)
Collaborate on internal tools for operations, scheduling, prescriptions, and form handling
Work with third-party APIs and SDKs (e.g., Stripe, Tellescope, Vital)
Optimize performance across the stack (frontend render performance, API response times, DB queries)
Write automated tests and participate in code reviews
Participate in planning, standups, and architecture discussions via Slack and Zoom

Requirements:

5+ years of professional experience in full-stack web development
Proficient with React/Next.js, TypeScript, Python, and Django
Solid understanding of REST APIs, PostgreSQL, and cloud-based deployment
Experience working with AWS or Vercel-based infrastructures
Familiar with Git workflows, code reviews, CI/CD practices
Self-motivated, great communication, and able to work independently with limited supervision
Bonus: Experience with HIPAA-compliant systems or multi-tenant SaaS platforms

Nice to Have:

Familiarity with tools like Stripe, Auth0, and background job processing (Celery + Redis)
Experience working with Webflow or marketing-site integrations
Comfort working in a fast-paced startup environment
