Position Overview
RecruitGo is looking for a Sr. QA Engineer based in the Philippines with strong analytical skills, a well-rounded and thorough approach as well as patience and solid technical experience. The successful candidate must be comfortable with ambiguity due to low test coverage and sparse comments.The ideal candidate is technically inclined and can dig deeply into issues whether they are with the client or the server side. They can dig into logs and not only unearth issues but also provide insights into possible causes and resolutions.
This role is supporting a large client and their highly customized version of our software. You’ll be testing new features and improving existing code coverage.
You’ll be a part of our team but also working closely with our client’s team. The role requires patience, diplomacy and tact. The ideal candidate is comfortable dealing with multiple stakeholders and balancing competing priorities. The role is customer-facing and requires excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Detailed test plans and test cases
- Identifying, documenting and tracking software issues
- Performing manual and automated testing to validate application behaviour
- Optimizing and improving QA processes
- Entry and verification of bugs
- Fast and accurate resolution of difficult problems
- Ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices
- Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
- Participating in technical discussions and providing feedback on testability
- Fulfill your responsibilities dependably as a remote worker.
Requirements:
- 5+ years experience as a QA Engineer
- Solid understanding of common testing methodologies
- Understanding of performance testing techniques and tools (e.g. Artillery, Loadrunner, etc) is a plus
- Creating and maintaining test documentation (test plans, test cases and defect reports)
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
- Experience with a test case management tool (Testiny or an equivalent tool)
- API testing experience with Postman or equivalent tools
- Prior exposure to a test automation framework (eg. Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, etc)
- Experience testing SaaS products
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Computer science degree or equivalent experience.
