Associate Lawyer

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Interpret laws, rulings and regulations for natural and juridical persons;
- Remain updated on most current legal processes and jurisprudence;
- Explain the law and provide sound legal advice to clients;
- Conduct extensive legal research and gather evidence;
- Ensure appropriate approvals are in place before documents are executed;
- Draft, review and manage various legal documents;
- Offer legal representation at arbitration or mediation hearings;
- Provide innovative solutions to client problems;
- Represent clients in court proceedings on civil or criminal matters in a professional manner;
- Monitor case progress and keep clients regularly updated on assigned cases;
- Prepare pleadings, notices and other documents;
- Oversee paralegals and assistants;
- Attend meetings, seminars and conferences;
- Keep cases organized;
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must possess at least a Post Graduate Law Degree
- Must have passed the Philippine Bar examinations
- Minimum 5 years experienced employee specializing in law/legal services or equivalent
- Must have at least 5 years’ extensive experience in litigation and commercial law practice
- Extensive knowledge in commercial law, taxation, intellectual property laws and other business areas
- Must have knowledge and experience in business set-up/closure, PEZA registration, BOC registration
- Must be willing to work in Makati City
- Must be willing to work long hours and undergo training
- Must value hard work, professionalism and dedication
- With pleasing personality and good interpersonal skills
- Analytical thinker with strong conceptual, research and problem solving skills
- Must be organized and detail-oriented
- Can work independently and as part of a team
- Can work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
