Job Title: L2 Technical Support Engineer

Job Purpose

Our client is looking for an L2 Technical Support Engineer responsible for ensuring applications run at the highest levels of quality and availability. This role focuses on proactive monitoring, in-depth troubleshooting, and resolving customer and service-related issues.

You will also conduct post-mortem analyses for major incidents, providing insights, actions taken, and preventive measures to improve system stability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own and manage service-impacting incidents, including investigation, diagnosis, root cause analysis, and permanent resolution
  • Perform capacity management for core and broadband networks to maintain optimal system performance
  • Analyze L2 support requests from business units, resolve issues, or escalate to appropriate teams when necessary
  • Proactively monitor platforms to ensure 24/7 system availability within assigned shifts
  • Utilize monitoring tools such as Dynatrace to track system health and performance
  • Monitor maintenance announcements from platform providers and communicate updates to relevant teams
  • Work on a shifting schedule to support continuous platform operations and participate in planned maintenance activities
  • Ensure services are maintained at the highest levels of quality and availability
  • Troubleshoot and provide timely permanent or workaround solutions to customer-reported issues
  • Identify, prioritize, and escalate incidents to appropriate teams when required
  • Log defects/bugs and coordinate with L3 teams through Jira, ensuring timely follow-ups and resolution tracking
  • Prepare detailed post-mortem reports for major incidents, including root cause and preventive action plans

Qualifications & Skills

Must-Have:

  • Experience with JavaScript or Java programming
  • Hands-on experience with databases and queries (SQL, Oracle PL/SQL, Oracle DB, PostgreSQL)
  • Practical experience in troubleshooting network-related issues
  • Strong working knowledge of Linux systems
  • Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Experience working with ticketing tools such as Jira or Service Desk platforms
  • Familiarity with application monitoring tools such as Dynatrace or AppDynamics
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication skills with the ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to work flexible hours and shifting schedules
  • Good command of the English language
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Event-Driven Architecture and tools such as RabbitMQ
  • Experience with Dynatrace (advanced usage)
  • Ability to write scripts for automation
  • Broader exposure to Linux environments, web technologies, and testing environments
  • Experience working across multiple operating systems

  • Willingness to work on a 24/7 shifting schedule, including weekends and holidays
  • Must be comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-availability environment
