Instrument technician

Job Description

• Strictly adhere to the FCF Health and Safety policies and procedures whist working in and around the plant site.
• Respond to maintenance problems in and around the plant in a timely manner to minimize plant downtime.
• Provide Instrument & Control Leaders with accurate feedback and reporting of faults and issues with instrumentation in the plant.
• Ensure team leaders work instructions are followed.
• Ensure all work is carried out in a safe and efficient manner.
• Carry out fault finding during breakdowns.
• Carry out preventative checks and inspections in all parts of the plant.
• Maintain accurate shift logs and records for recording in MEX
• Be proactive in maintaining instrumentation in the plant to ensure the highest availabilities.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Demonstrated ability to lead a team safely and improve team safety awareness.
• High level understanding of instrumentation systems.
• Demonstrated the understanding and the application of continuous improvement ideas.

• Computer skills with the ability to use integrated management systems such as Microsoft Office, MEX (CMMS).

• Ability to communicate effectively across all levels.
• Strong report writing and presentation skills.
• Able to read, write communicate English at an advanced international standard.

Remarks

Working as part of a small but dedicated maintenance team while liaising closely with the plant operations department to provide a timely response to any problems in the plant.
