Barista/Cashier

Responsibilities:

1. Guest service such as greeting, taking orders, resolving complaints and other guest care relations.
2. Communicating about products and prices.
3. Operating point of sales system.
4. Taking orders and basic math skills including, making change, issuing refunds and receipts
5. Preforming basic barista skills, including steaming milk, drawing espresso shots, cleaning and others.
6. Restocking and refilling, cups, lids, powders, syrups and other various tools used for preparing drink menu items.
7. Preparing food.
8. Represent The Crumbcoat Mini Cafe in a manner consistent with its beliefs, mission, vision, core values.

Specific Competencies:

1. Able to communicate well with various types of people
2. Able to do basic math such as adding, multiplying and subtraction.
3. Trainable in using the Operating System of the Cafe.
4. Able to preform guest service
5. Able to preform basic barista skills
6. Able to preform basic cleaning skills
7. Able to organize, work fast and multitask
8. Able to communicate and understand verbally and written information

Qualifications:

1. Experience in guest service
2. Experience in point of sales systems and cash handling
3. Experience in working as a barista and food
4. Obtain a City Health Card
5. Strong communication and customer service skills.
6. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Physical Requirement:

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and move up to 25 lbs.
• Comfortable with repetitive motions, such as grinding coffee, pressing espresso, and using a register.
