A.  Performs appropriately requested examinations and producing radiographs of good diagnostic quality, in line with departmental policies and protocols.
B.  Maintains production and quality of radiographs by following established standards and procedures; developing radiographs; observing radiographic results; making necessary adjustments.
C.  Ensures examinations are conducted with a high standard of care, and is performed using up to date emergency and other protocols
D.  Provides appropriate radiation protection to patients, attendant family and staff. Prepares patient for radiological procedure by positioning patient; adjusting immobilization devices; moving equipment into specified position; adjusting equipment controls to set exposure factors.
E.  Ensures patients understand their procedure. Gains patient cooperation by reducing anxieties; providing explanations of treatment; answering questions
F.  Ensures that post procedure instructions are provided to patients and the escort nurse as necessary
G.  Minimizes radiation to patient and staff by practicing radiation protection techniques, using beam restrictive devices, patient shielding, and knowledge of exposure factors
H.  Records necessary patient and procedure information. Documents patient care services by charting in patient and department records
I.  Obtains informed consent from patients prior to their procedure(s).
J.  Demonstrates cultural sensitivity
K.  Maintains confidentiality and the right to privacy
L.  Performs roistered after hours duties and on-call
M.  Responds to call-outs promptly

N. Attending to the needs of patients, taking responsibility for total service delivery
