We are looking for a skilled Financial Controller to manage the financial operations for ahospitality company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for financial planning, analysis, and reporting, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and contributing to the overall financial health of the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Management:Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
- Monitor cash flow, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
- Budgeting and Forecasting:Develop and manage annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Provide variance analysis and recommend corrective actions to management.
- Internal Controls and Compliance:Ensure robust internal controls are in place and adhered to.
- Conduct internal audits and coordinate with external auditors during annual audits.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and other financial reporting requirements.
- Financial Reporting:Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for senior management and stakeholders.
- Present financial results and insights to the executive team.
- Assist in the preparation of board presentations and investor reports.
- Cost Management:Implement cost control measures to improve profitability.
- Analyze operational costs and identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Strategic Planning:Participate in strategic planning initiatives and provide financial insights to support decision-making.
- Evaluate financial performance and develop strategies for growth and improvement.
- Team Leadership:Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Systems and Technology:Oversee the implementation and maintenance of financial systems and software.
- Leverage technology to improve financial processes and reporting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
- Proven experience as a Financial Controller or in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial regulations.
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
