Accounts Receivable Assistant (Collections)

Job Summary:The Collection Assistant supports the Collections Team in managing accounts receivable activities, documentation, and follow-ups. This role is suited for a candidate with prior collections experience who can independently handle administrative tasks, assist in fieldwork when needed, and help ensure timely and complete collection of receivables.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day administrative and clerical support to the Collections Team
- Perform invoice research, validation, and reconciliation to support collection efforts
- Organize, maintain, and monitor collection-related documents and records
- Assist in the preparation and filing of small claims cases in local courts for non-paying customers
- Support collection field activities, including customer visits, when required
- Process and monitor withholding taxes (CWT) related to customer payments
- Help ensure invoices are properly dispatched and acknowledged by customers
- Track collection status and assist in ensuring no collections or follow-ups are missed
- Coordinate with internal teams (Sales, Accounting, Project Team) to resolve collection concerns
- Perform other collection-related tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of experience in collections or accounts receivable
- Graduate of any business-related course is preferred
- Working knowledge of invoicing, collections processes, and basic accounting
- Experience handling withholding taxes and supporting legal or small claims documentation is an advantage
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to handle multiple tasks
- Willing to do administrative, coordination, and occasional field work
- Proficient in basic office applications (Excel, email, document management)
