Job Description
As an Electrical Engineer (Utility/Distribution), you'll develop both overhead and underground network designs, lead feasibility studies, manage stakeholder communication, and support construction teams. Your technical expertise will drive cost-effective, accurate, and standards-compliant solutions in every project you touch.

- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
- At least 3 years of experience in a relevant technical field, ideally with a focus on both overhead and underground distribution lines or similar projects, with voltages up to 35kV
- Proficient in using GIS (Geographic Information System) tools
- Experienced with design and drafting software for creating detailed and accurate project plans
- Proficiency in AutoCAD design
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with a variety of stakeholders
- Ability to prioritise tasks and work independently
- A design-oriented mindset with strong project management and delivery skills
- Design and develop distribution network systems for both overhead and underground infrastructure, creating detailed designs, drawings, and technical specifications
- Perform investigations and feasibility studies, including modelling, calculations, and analytical derivations
- Self-check and conduct peer reviews of design deliverables to ensure compliance with defined scopes, statutory regulations, relevant standards, and organizational procedures
- Apply and uphold relevant standards, policies, guidelines, and legislative requirements to support responsible decision-making
- Develop cost-effective designs, recognizing the impact of design decisions on construction expenses
- Manage project scheduling and reporting
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders and conduct project meetings and provide ongoing feedback and support to construction personnel
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve project objectives
- Maintain a high level of attention to detail and adhere to deadlines
- Aim to exceed customer expectations by offering comprehensive support and service
